I purchased a home in September of 2000. Washgton Mutual did not pay my real estate taxes. The house was sold for taxes. I contacted Washington Mutual constantly regarding this situation. Every time I would contact them, I would be told that the taxes were taken care of. My taxes were finally redeemed in Feb. of 2006. I have been fighting with Washington Mutual because part of the penalty and interest that was paid, due to their deliquency, was taken from my escrow

Washingtom Mutual has also failed to pay my hazard insurance. My premuim was due in September and I just found out a couple of days ago that it was never paid.

I have a lot of complaints about this company. I noticed that there were some other complaints about this company not paying the insurance, and also about mortgage payments.

I would like to know if you could give my email address to the person (Ken - Detroit Michigan)that has filed a lawsuit against Washington Mutual. Also I would like, if possible to be contacted by the person who did not get their insurance paid (Gary Sweetwater, Tenn).

The reason I would like to talk to the person who has filed the lawsuit is because I have a lot of information, documented information, that I feel would prove quite useful for their lawsuit. I am also looking for an attorney to address my issues.

I do believe that whoever the attorney is that is working on the person's behalf would be quite impressed with the documentation that I can provide. I have documentation that proves, beyond a shadow of doubt that Washington Mutual can and do not keep accurate records.

What is really puzzling to me is that with so many complaints against Washington Mutual, there is nothing being done about them?

When I signed up for your website, I thought that I would be able to put my complaints out for people to see, but then I realize that I wasn't suppose to write a long report.

Again, if anyone needs information against Washington Mutual, pleas feel free to contact me. If there is an attorney that is possible interested, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks

They tried it with us...

We had an almost identical situation with Washington Mutual, pertaining to the hazard insurance. Apparantly, WAMU was attempting to force us to purchase their hazard insurance, rather than paying our insurance company through ESCROW. We had to make about three phone calls informing them that according to the laws of our state, we could choose the insurance company of our choice. That they have that information, and since they were breaching our contract by not paying it through ESCROW, that they would be held responsible for any claims. The was the end of that for us. Good-luck!
