Washington Mutual Home Loans ripoff This company has harassed me and made my life extremely stressful for 2 yrs now San Antonio Texas

WMHL bought my mortgage from a bank in my town, I had say in this whatsoever. Since they bought my loan I have had nothing but grief from them. Several months ago I had surger on my kidneys that led me to acquire an large amount of medical bills.

The first time I was late after the surgery I got a phone call everyday (even before the pmt. was due). I (or shall I say "we", my husband and 2 children live here also) finally sent in a payment of $700; I owed them $836, within 2 weeks I checked my mail to find a letter containing my payment. They rejected my payment!!! They said that they DO NOT EXCEPT PARTIAL PAYMENTS! This is one of the most absurd things I have every experienced. I thought they would be glad to get the money. That in turn led me to being 5 months late on my house pmt. Understand my husband is the only one working, and we rarely have more than $300 at a time. When they sent the payment back, I definitely could not pay them the $836 that I owed them and also the new pmt. that had accrued by this time, and they wouldn't except a partial pmt, what do you do? I do have other bills, you know.

Of course, they called me and asked me where my pmt. was, daily. In one phone conversation I told a young man that I would be able to send the pmt. in full in about 4 wks. He said "that would be great" and they'd be waiting for it. Well, when I got my taxes back I called to get the overnight mailing address, they gave it to me but said they had already turned my file over to "their attorney" and that they could not accept my pmt. I got the attorneys number and spoke with them, got my reinstatement amt, and quickly noticed that WMHL charged me over $1000 in attorneys fee. That was for the attorney to open up my file on his computer! They only had it for 3 days!!

I feel this company is operating illegally, and completely unfairly. I have called the Better Business Bureau, written my State Attorney General, and have written several letters to WHML and their attorney's: Wilson & Associates in Little Rock, Arkansas! Now when I call WMHL, they transfer my call to a collections agency and won't even speak to me! Please someone help me, I'm a stay at home mom and I suffer from kidney problems and I also go to school 15hrs this semester and hold a 3.8. I feel like this company has taken over my life, I'm helpless. That's not a good feeling.
