Wavee.com advertises itself as a bargain finding internet site where you by items for pennies. Each credit you buy cost $0.75. What they do not tell you is the auctions go on in perpetuity. AS you get the the last second of the auction if someone bids again the clock resets to 20 seconds remaining in the auction. This continues endlessly. I foolishly spent $22.50 in about 3 minutes and the auction never ended. It is a toal SCAM. DO NOT sign up for this site.

That these types of sites often imply they are a place where you can "buy" or purchase items for pennies on the dollar. But it is obvious they are not much more then online gambling.

I do need to ask you however...I went to the website..clicked on where it says right on top "How It Works"...and it seems to clearly explain exactly what you posted. So what did you expect? Here is part of the screen shot found under "HOW IT WORKS"...

Buy Credits

Next, purchase credits.
Credits cost $0.75 each and each credit is worth 1 bid. Credits are used to place bids on auctions. Just signing up for a new account will get you 5 free credits.

Number 3

Find

Find

Search for a specific item or browse through our extensive selection of everything from the latest electronics to kitchen appliances.

Number 4

Bid

Bid

Use credits to bid on an item. Every bid increases the price of the item by $0.01 or more, depending on the auction type. The timer counts down until it gets below 20 seconds. From that point, every bid resets the timer back to 20 seconds, giving bidders a chance to make a final bid.

So while I can tell this is not very smart way to shop ..how is it a scam when they state how it works and do not force you to play or hide how it works?

Granted..it is PURE BS that the reason the clock gets set back is for your benefit. The reason the clock gets set back..is so THEY can make more money. With ANY legitimate online auction,. the auction is over when the time ends. But since no one really knows when the time will end since any bid will set the clock back...I can not see how this is anything but gambling. Unless only the winner had to pay for bids. Since the LOSERS have to pay for each bid, and then get NOTHING if they do not win..well I would say you simply lost a gamble.

Did you not check to see how this works before you started bidding? You admit you foolishly spent money..but it is always foolish to do anything that requires giving out credit card or bank info without investigating first. This goes for ANYTHING, especially websites.
