I purchashed a used Gmc Yukon in nov. of 2002, the fuel pump, exhaust gasket, water pump, all went out, here i thought i was really doing good when i bought this car, i am 23 i have a wife and 1 yr old son, we needed a car we can go to nebraska a few times a yr.to visit inlaws.
Ayway we followed what we thought was the correct way to get the car repaired,we called the dealer we bought it from ,he got right on it,he did all the calling ,told us where to take the car to a local Chev dealer, and don't worry by the time it,s repaied it will be handled, well guess what (NOT) well ok it,s going to be taken care of just borrow the money that you dont have and send in the reciept and you will be reimbursed, well guess what (NOT)then after a few week,s of wondering what,s going on I get a letter saying sorry they cant pay this claim because, there was no prior authorization, and please refer to "Your Obligation,s". now i was lead to believe that it was being taken care of, no problem, then a small problem, and then (BAAM) .
P.S I should of listened to my dad when i bought the car,if it,s not covered by the manufacture don't buy the extended coverage they are all legal scam,s and never pay if they did they would be out of buisiness and would have to get a real job. Oh yeah the person who sent me the letter must of been female because they didn't even have the (?) to sign the letter what a company you can trust when there own employee,s have to hide what a joke. my next letter is to the better buisiness, i think i will send them copies of all these complaint,s

#2 Consumer Suggestion
Listen to me ...you have a good chance of winning.

This is very simple.
1. Do you have all you paperwork?
2. Filed a complaint in small claims court against the repairing dealership for the ammout of the repair.
3. If you don't have your paperwork go the dealerhip get a copy then file suit.
4. Take the time to file suit...you have a good chance of winning.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
All warranty companies require authorization!

It sound like someone dropped the ball - whether it was your dealer or the repair facility. From reading your post - it's sounds like either the dealer or the repair facility did not call in the claim for authorization - which is warranty 101 (even if you had a manufactures warranty this is required). If you read your contract it states an authorization is necessary before any repairs are completed and this procedure only takes about 5 minutes.
So to blame Wynn's is unfair especially if you did not follow procedures or someone else dropped the ball!
