I purchased E-Gift cards for Walmart from the company called SaveYa.com who resells gift cards. This was nearly $500 worth of gift cards on 4 separate card numbers.   These were electronic gift cards, where they send you a gift card number and a pin.  The numbers worked to purchase merchandise on Walmart.com, however, I ended up cancelling the sale and having Walmart refund the orginal purchase back to the gift cards.  Within hours of the refund, the money was taken from all 4 gift cards.  These gift cards are sold to SaveYa from various different sources.  So for all 4 to be stolen at the same time would require someone that has access to my SaveYa account who knows that the money was refunded to the cards. The account was somehow compromised internally.  I contacted SaveYa 4 times before finally being able to talk to someone "internal", since they have an off-shore call center who of course can't help with any real issues.

Internal rep, seemed genuinely concerned and interested but after waiting several days and not receiving any contact, I contacted her at least 3 additional times when I was promised "Someone was looking into this"  and "Someone would be in touch". But 4 weeks later, still nothing.

As it turns out, SaveYa guarantees ONLY the gift cards that they physically mail to people, so anyone who buys an e-gift card is basically screwed if anything goes wrong.  What kind of business practices are this?  "We're not responsible for the product we sell you to actually work, and if someone steals the money from your cards we're not responsible."  Except that the cards are held on THEIR website, to which their employees have access knowing that their policy is not to reimburse people for Egift cards!

Basically, their whole Egift card business is shady, potentially fraudulent, and at the best case lacks proper security protocols where someone was able to gain access to my account and my card information.  They have been completely uncooperative in resolving this issue and completely non-communicative. So my only recourse is to file a dispute with my credit card company, since I never actually received what I paid for and hope they find in my favor.

Stay away from SaveYa or any of Giftcard.com's companies.  Poor business practices, poor customer service, and potentially fraudulent activities.
