If you have iPage hosting or are considering iPage hosting as a solution, check this out. I was looking to try a new web host and read several nice reviews of iPage. I placed an order with them in 2013 for a new domain and several features to build out a business. A few months later, I shelved the project for at least a year. Along the way, I also changed bank accounts so my information was out of date. In November 2014, I decided to keep my domain name only. I was able to go into my hosting account and select manual renew. At the same time, I went in and placed an order to renew my domain name. Shortly thereafter, I recieved an email from iPage stated a  charge of $15.99 to my credit card. All is well but then came the funny stuff. iPage added this new credit card to my other features and billed an additional $87+. Did they email me a receipt? NO. I found out this evening as I started to reconcile my books for 2014. So I chatted with a customer service rep.

I asked iPage to cancel the additional features and reimburse me for the costs. The rep stated "We do not issue refunds for additional services. You can use the tools and let them expire." I asked the rep why the features did not expire last year and the rep stated "The services were set to automated renewal." So I asked how I could expire the features since I have been all over the website and could not find any way to do so myself. She replied "You cannot remove these services from your end. I will ask our billing team to cancel these services. You won't be billed anymore."

Since the customer cannot remove these charges and I was billed automatically, I asked again for a reimbursement. I was told "Unfortunately, it is not possible. We do not issue refunds for additional services." So if you are looking for a hosting provider and see all the great words about iPage, give this some consideration. Your wallet will appreciate it.
