Santander Consumer brought Citi Auto loans my contract that I signed and agree to was 72 months for 372.66 I was Late maybe 1 or 2 times was charged 6.00 late charges that Added up to 180.00 I reported them to the BBB which didn't do any good along with a lot of other people did and Santander gave most everybody the same reason to why we still owe that much more and the BBB said the issue was Answed and closed the cases. There is no way that if you are Late a few times or even have a few payments moved to the end there is no way that I would have to pay for 81 months But I paided it and got my title a few weeks later, someone Really needs to investigate this company.

Here's What Happened!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, December 14, 2015

YOU made late payments on a high APR loan.  Because YOU made late payments, YOU generated extra interest for them.  Because of YOUR late payments on a high APR loan, it took more months to pay off what extra money YOU generated for them.

NO RIPOFF HERE!

However, YOU are being financed by this subprime (deadbeat) loan company because YOU have a self generated reputation of not paying YOUR bills on time.  They gave YOU a chance to correct this and YOUR response was to continue as a serial subprime borrower.

One more bit of advice, let me save you some effort here.  Don't bother taking the effort to write, "you must work for them" because I don't and neither does the other gentleman who also responded.

The contract..

It is very interesting how you bought up what the contract said about how many payments you needed to make, yet failed to mention anything about what else the contract said.  You know things such as those payments are based on you making EVERY payment On-Time and for the full amount.

So if there is anyone breaking any sort of contract it is you.  As you have admited you paid late, while you only admit to once or twice I have a feeling it was more.  You also failed to mention how late were you those times.  You also slipped in quite nicely how you had payments moved to the end.  Now, why is this all important?  Because you see when you fail to make the payments as agreed you are charged additional interest.  If these late payments or deferments happen to be closer to the beginning of the loan the extra interest alone could explain this additional costs.

If you still have doubts just search the Internet and look for Amortization Tables.  That will show you how your Interest is allocated for each payment.  They can also often show you what happens when you pay late.
