Purchased a car from Willett Honda South at the Walmart parking lot huge sale. My Son is on the loan as well he needed a cosigner. On the paper document I was the main purchaser very up set. I ask how much was the APR on the car no one told me I started to signed and reader the information. I notice that the amount was more that triple the pride when loan is completed over $32,000. the car is worth 18,000 when I called to ask amount the huge amount I was told that I am only paying. 18,000 for the car. what a rip off I want to get of this loan. The finance company makes it hard for you to get out of it because when you try to refinance right off the bat people know the name Santander Consumer USA is a bad finance service. not a happy camper. Also in the documents stated that you can't bring the car back.

Sincerly

Typical uneducated buyer

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 01, 2016

Let me just say right off the bat, if by chance you were "Ripped Off" you let them do it.  Although based on your post this is nothing more than buyer's remorse from an uneducated buyer.

First of all if no one told you the APR...why did you even start to sign?  But then why when it was right in black and white on the contract did you continue if you didn't like it?

Next, it doesn't matter what order you are on the loan...each person on the loan is EQUALLY responsible for the loan.  So even if your son was listed first and failed to make the payments he would trash both his and your credit.

The salesman is right...the CAR costs 18K...but because of the high interest rate by the time the loan is complete you will have paid a grand total of 32K.

As for refinacing...it isn't because this company rips people off..it is because this company deals with "Sub-Prime" borrowers who can not get financing by regular means because they have failed to show that they can handle credit.    In addition your son probably put very little(if anything down) and is already "upside down"  on the loan, meaning he owes more than it is worth.

So the best thing you can do now is make sure he makes ALL of his payments ON-TIME so they don't start coming after you.

You are suffering from a case of buyer's remorse

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

The interest rate and price of the vehicle is noted on the financial agreement that you signed. Your dissatisfaction with the agreement is a clear case of buyer’s remorse. You were not ripped off.
