UNique Insurance They are trying to extort me out of $5400. Chicago Illinois

In DEcember of 2006 I was in a car accident. I skidded out on a patch of ice and went into a ditch. I smashed into the truck of Eduardo Lopez. He apparently had hit the same ice patch. My truck was completely totaled. His car had minimal damage. ( I have pics to prove this) Any way The months pass and I get a peice of paper in the mail saying an order of default was filed against me by order of the Judge. I am thinking well this is crazy it must be some mistake. I get another letter saying pay we will put a lein on your house and your car take your wages all that kind of thing. I call this lawyer who definitly thought he was some kind of hot stuff and he says send a copy to your insurance company. I got busy with work and forgot about it for a week or so and then I get a letter saying pay or you will lose or driving privlages. What I want to know is why I was never notified of any court case or hearing about this matter and how in the hell they came up with the outrageous total. I should be getting information soon that will prove that they are trying to extort me. I want that company to go bankrupt. I want the owner to go to jail.
