STOP!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR PRECIOUS WATCH TO WATCH REPAIRS USA !!!!!!!
I received Tag Heuer watch 23 years ago for a Christmas present. I sent it to Beverly Hills twice for cleaning and a new battery. All good.
This time I chose a new place...Watch Repairs USA. (repair # 121033) I chose them because they said they could always be contacted. After a couple phone calls I got an email back from the very smug and unappreciative Adam Carpintieri (516-394-0188 ext 1001) who said he had sent an email answering my question. I got all other emails from him but weirdly not this one in question.
I thought the website was misleading in several ways. One, I assumed my sentimental watch would be insured for $1000; as I insured it when I sent it. GUESS WHAT! They do not pay a penny for any insurance. UPS automatically gives $100 insurance and that's what Watch Repairs USA means by Free Insurance.
Well, my watch got lost. I went to UPS to trace it and decided to ask how much they insured it for. They informed me in one word....ZERO! So if my watch stayed lost I would have paid $334 for cleaning and battery plus my gift watch gone forever with only $100 to show from UPS. I felt so violated and ripped off and now I see many, many others do too.
HUGE MISTAKE! DO NOT DEND YOUR WATCH HERE.
Lastly, when I finally did trace my package Watch Repairs USA didn't even bother aligning the back symbol vertically for a nice look...as when these watches are sold.
I am taking it to a reputable jeweler locally and have them open it to see it ANYTHING was actually done.
Ohh, I will void the warranty by doing that! WHO CARES! My watch is never going back to these people for warranty work. How stupid would that be?
I closing I want to tell you that I paid about $9.00 to ship my watch to them which included $1000 insurance. The shipping I had to pay for the return, with zero insurance, was $23.55. They rolled my heirloom watch into bubble wrap and sent it back in a used box. RIPOFF! again!
GO ANYWHERE ELSE! DO NOT GO HERE!
