Watch Repairs USA - Adam Carpentieri... This company tried to charge me $91.55 for repairs on a watch that works perfectly!!!!! Rockville Centre New York 11570

 My report is as follows, I have a watch in which I wanted the battery and waterproof seal to the battery cover replaced. I sent it to this company to get an estimate on a replacment battery and seal.

 After about a week I recieved my estimate via e-mail and it stated the following,

" Our service technicians have examined your watch and determined it to be in need of the following repairs. Payment options will appear on the next page."

NOTE: Battery replaced, watch not functioning properly. Results of pulse test indicates the watch movement is in need of repair.

Replacement of new quartz movement( on back order from factory takes 4-8 weeks. $59.99

Replace seals and gaskets/pressure test certification.                                          $19.99

     This being a $100.00 Guess watch I declined. After you decline they ask you to do one of the following,

 _ Keep the watch

  I must say I was in shock. So after declining I sent customer care an email asking if they would just do what I had only wanted done to the watch. ( battery and seal) I recieved a reply from ADAM CAPATEIRI " I replaced the battery myself and it did not start the watch" No introduction as to who he was or anything that was it. I kindly replied and asked that the watch be returned to me. They did ( charging me $11.57 + $1.00tx = $12.57 for shipping)

I just recieved my watch back from them and knowing it worked prior to the battery being dead I went to Target on my lunch break to get a battery just to satisfy my own mind. I spent the $4.99 on the battery brought it to my office and put it in the watch..set the time to the one I am wearing and THE WATCH WORKS PERFECTLY FINE!!!!      These people are complete con artists!
