General Steel, Once an inflated deposit is collected, forget progress beyond that. Littleton Colorado

In March 2007 I contacted Discount Steel Buildings not knowing they were actually General Steel, for prices on a shop/storage facility I wanted to build. I settled on a size they offered because it was something half completed already. 

I ended up trying to do business with them being assured by the salesmen there, how they work with contractors all over the country and how it easy and straightforward it will be.

After $31,872.87 for a deposit, progress halted varying from no callbacks to erroneous plans from another building manufacturer, which cost me $4000 to correct by engineers in my state Maine.

I tried to find any contractor which would work with General Steel to erect a building if I was to continue, I could not. They already knew the game. That was the last straw.

11 months lost and of course the deposit. They had beat me. At least through all of this I had found a good company in Maine who actually wants to deliver goods and services as promised. The deposit with the new company was $6800 and it was all done inside of a year. So easy. It became obvious General Steel was after the deposit only.

If you want to get something done, do not use this company. Period.
