Southwest is the absolute worst commercial airline in existence. I've flown with many other airlines and in many places around the world, and Southwest is worse than the bottom of the barrel. Southwest's behavior as a corporate airline is well documented - delayed flights, flights leaving early without warning or notice, charging extra fees, etc., etc. - so it's not worth repeating the same things.

What is worse than the airline itself, however, is the behavior of its employees at the John Wayne Airport location. The employees here are most odious people I've ever encountered in ANY customer service position. They are condescending, hostile and abusive; the people at the gate will yell at customers and give them the wrong information. When they are called out for this behavior, they escalate the abuse. When you tell them that you will not tolerate the abusive behavior and that you will file complaints with corporate customer service, they then engage in extortion and tell you to put up with it or they will leave you off the flight. The so-called supervisor at the entry gate was a flat out C.U. Next Tuesday.

The Southwest employees were the perfect combination of OC white trash mixed with Trump ICE thugs and goons. Absolutely horrible people and airline.

Reading between the lines, you showed up 5 minutes before the scheduled departure and were surprised that they didn't let you board?  And then you were an a-hole to the gate agent, and they didn't bend over backwards to help you?  Guess what, corporate customer service won't help you either if you are an a-hole.  Learn to behave and lose the entitled attitude.
