1&1 internet Inc is by far the worst hosting company ever and will hit you with hidden fees! After signing up with 1 & 1 internet service I tried putting up a website with no real success. I was kind of a newbie to building websites at the time and I tried getting customer service to help me, but they were just horrible. They did not care to help me or help me understand anything I was doing. They just basically just say you are on your own figure it out.. Their website in not user friendly at all which makes matter worse.

After nothing but problems with 1&1 internet I decided to cancel my service. Wow was that a bold move. I cancel my account with them and a couple days later I was hit with additional fees and a cancelation fee.

I was within their money back guarantee period and I tried explaining that to the cancellation department, and they gave me some excuse why that did not apply and the cancelation department are ruthless almost like debt collector attitude. They will not back down and they will try to even intimidate you. This was pretty despicable and I felt totally scammed so I decided to dispute this charge with my credit card company.

I won the dispute after my credit card company reviewed the case and I was so relieved that this nightmare was over. Well I was wrong! In about two weeks I received a letter from a collection agency saying that I owed $120 to 1&1. Granted it isnt a ton of money, I was still so pissed. I could not believe 1&1 sent me to collection for $120 after the fact that I won the dispute with my credit card company. They tacked on another $40 to my balance for god knows what. I honestly dont know how someone hasnt shut down 1&1 for their shady practices . I have been threw a lot of web hosting companies since then and by far the best one I have found is hostgator. Hostgator actually helped me with my website and changing domains and everything I have ever asked. The way a company should operate.

I am telling you STAY FAR FAR AWAY from 1&1! They will not ever stop harassing you until they either get their money or send you to collections. All why slapping you with hidden fees.
