Apple Apple Watch broke by itself and cut me!

I'd like to register how disappointed and angry I am with apple support,
 
On January/2017 I got an Apple Watch as Christmas gift. I always wore it with the recommended caution (it had no cracks, was never submerged, was always charged on the original charger, was never exposed to excess heat...).
 
On July/2018, only a couple months after the end of the warranty period, the watch broke in the most strange way: I was in my car (AC on), with the apple watch on my left wrist and had my arms crossed and then, when I uncrossed them, I felt a scratch and saw blood on the right wrist. I started to look for the cause of the cut and then I saw that the Apple Watch screen had popped up. when I touched the screen, to check it out, it cracked.
 
I called Apple Support and after repeating the story for a couple of times, they asked me to send pictures of the watch and of the cut on my wrist. I sent it and them I sent the Apple Watch itself. 
 
The technicians report was unbelievable! They said that they had found an issue that wasn't mentioned on my repair request (cracked screen). I told (and retold) the story a couple of times to a couple of different representatives and always mentioned that the screed had cracked after it had popped out and after the CUT.
 
They charged me $229.00 + tax (almost the price of a new watch) to fix it.
 
They made me look like a liar on their report and are trying to sell me a repair for the price of a new product.
