My mother received a call from a collection agency out of Virginia called Integrated Financial services. They told my mother they were looking for me to file a warrant in debt in the city of Hampton Virginia for the Bank of Marin. I have never received any type of bill, statement or anything prior to this.
They have the wrong social and have me as 28 years old.I am 41 years old and now they are filing something in court about this. My address has always been readily available and I have always forwarded my mail and never received anything from them.
Now integrated tells me they can file suit after this long period of time.I haven't lived at the particular address they claim in like four years. I know nothing about this.
I am wondering how they got my mothers information and she is concerned about this as well. I called them and they said they would forward the information to the necessary people after I told them they had the wroing social etc.
They were unable to provide my mother with the infomation as to how they got her info. I am very disturbed about this.I hope you can help me.I do not wnat them having my phone though. Sincerely Rene L. Schreiber

They probably bought some very old debt of yours..When they do this they have access to the credit app you filled out. They may have gotten your mom's number this way.
Many bottom feeder collection agencies work on fear....many people do not know their rights and when they hear the words "warrant" or "arrest" they'll gladly give the collection agent their checking account/debit card info right then and there over the phone.
Another tactic...which is far more cruel...is to file bogus lawsuits for debt that you've never had...they are hoping and praying that you ignore notifications from the court and don't show up for the alloted time....If this happens...the company will get a default judgment against you and you WILL have to pay even if you never owed this debt to begin with...
If you have received any sort of official notice about a court hearing....DO NOT ignore it!
