*Consumer Comment: Smith,
Caliber Home Loans has made it virtually impossible to get a loan modification. They have requested that we provide the same information over and over again. Each time, delaying the process yet ANOTHER 6 weeks. We have been on this never ending ride for over 6 months with no end in sight. I truly believe they have NO interest or intention to modify the loans of people in desperate need of loan modification of those struggling to stay in their homes.

Loan modification problems also

like many others I too have issue with loan modification with caliber. I fell behind two payments contacted Caliber immediately after the first missed payment explaining my financial dilemma. I submitted all loan modification paperwork after numerous times of being told the form for tax returns was filled out improperly. First time I was denied because they said I was delinquent less than 61 days. Even though I would have been able to to make payment the 3rd missed payment the Caliber rep told me NOT to make the payment so then I would be delinquent more than 61 days then they could approve the loan modification. I had to submit all paperwork again only to be denied to loan modification because of my totals payments per month more than 41%(VA loan) this figure is used when qualifying why are they using it for loan modification? So they say loan modification denied, pay your 3 months past due or we will begin foreclosure! I have seen the exact same complaints about this awful company all over the Internet. Why can't lawsuit be filed against them? They act like they want to help you with loan modification then they stall, make you resubmit documents, deny you, make you do it all over stall again, then when you are 3 months past due they deny you again and then say sorry but send your past due payments now or we will begin foreclosure. I have a VA loan so they know they will get the VA loan guaranty of $36,000.This company are scam artists! Contact me about filing lawsuit.

Please if someone goes after Caliber Home Loans, please contact me. I have been trying to get a loan modification from them since last November and they keep stalling the process. Even after I upload docs through their own website they say it took too long for them to get the docs so they deny the modification. Then i have to call and they re send the documents to the underwrighter just to tell me that they need even more documents.i called today and was appalled that they didnt even know how to ready my paystubs. Everyone i tak to says something different. In one day i received 3 letters from Caliber. One says they got all the docs and wait for notification. 2nd letter says i didnt turn in the docs and a third letter saying they sold my mortgage to another company. Everytime they say that they have everything they turn around and ask for more docs. They are working in bad faith and deliberatly indifferent to the modification process.

Caliber Home Loan - Class Action Lawsuit

I see there has been a lot of activity regarding others treated unfairly by the predatory practices of Caliber Home loans, I would be very interested in joining a class action lawsuit against this company. We very nearly lost our home because of the terrible stalling tactics of Caliber, asking for the same information over and over, and always claiming it was incomplete. Then telling us the information was too old and that we would have to start all over! They did this multiple times and truly tried to take advantage of our desperate situation. They are a terrible, terrible, predatory organization that takes advantage of homeowners when they are in their greatest need!
Caliber Home Loans should absolutely be held accountable for their practices, I would be very agreeable to participating in a class action suit. I'm sure many. many home owners were put through the same hell we were ... I am an educated and responsible person and I have never been so badly and unfairly treated as when looking to them for help. Government programs were in place but they blocked access at every turn, I'm sure many lost homes because of their treachery!!!!
I have a great deal of documentation, if there is a class action suit in process please let me know!

My home loan just got transferred from HSBC to Calibar November 2013, during the process of my loan modification. It has been a nightmare since this transfer, Calibar refuses to honor the modification agreement and i am currently in a battle between my Bankruptcy Attorney and Calibar's Attorney.

Feel free to send a copy of your Ripoff Report to President Obama so he understands what people are going through when they attempt to modify their home loan. His address is available at this site. Just type in 1088808 and the address to the White House appears at the beginning of Ripoff Report #1088808.
Good luck to you and your family, and please let us know if he responds.
