You have a very interesting case...please keep us updated as to how it turns out, as I have had occasion to do the exact same thing.

We have broad 1st amendment rights in the USA, but businesses are protected against defamatory comments that would "injure" their doing business. Where the statements you made on your car fall, I do not know as I am not a lawyer. What I do know is that your comments were a bit vague so the dealership will have a difficult time in proving that your statements were made with malice.

I do hope you are successful, as you appear to have been "screwed" by the dealership in regards to the warranty on your car. To be successful, I think the dealership will first have to prove to the jury that they did in fact honor the warranty and therefore your position as a disgruntled customer are baseless.

Just a suggestion in regards to this type of consumer action for others - it is always best to phrase any statement as one of opinion. For example, you could find yourself in hot water if you wrote "(dealership) treats their customers like dirt." It is much safer to say "In my opinion, I was treated like dirt at (dealership"....people will get the idea.
Always make statements that are clearly one of opinion and steer clear of sweeping allegations that you have no basis for. It's never wise to say "(Dealership) does not honor the warranties it sells" because you have no basis to make such a claim. Keep it to personal experience and that of a clearly stated opinion.
