I lost my job in August of 2011.  I contacted Citimortgage hoping for a short sale of my property.  We offered $425,000 for our property which generated an offer.  Citi stated that the offer had to be a minimum of $450,000 which the buyer agreed to.  Citi countered that there was no finsnciial hardship, even though I had been unemployed for over one year, and denied the sale.

We then tried to do a deed in lieu of foreclosure which Citi agreed to work with us on.  One month into the process Citi filed a Notice of Default and we are now in foreclosure.  These people have no intention of working with the homeowner.  It's now October 2012 and we have been informed that our property will be sold in February 2013. 

Not once did Citi try to work with us.  They just drug the process out to keep the property occupied so it did not go into disrepair.

Even though we are in foreclosure Citimortgage still calls us several times per day demanding payment for a loan I cannot possibly pay.  The phone calls start at 8:00am and continue until 9:00pm.  I tell each person calling to stop calling as I am not in a position to pay but am told the calls will continue until the home is sold at auction.
