Coastal Threatening to take me to court Internet

 This person named Mya called my husband and said there had been a formal complaint filed against him. I called back to see what she was talking about and she said he had taken a payday loan back in 2011 on the Internet. I told her no way did that happen and why didn't I receive anything in the mail? She said her client did send out communication and we never replied. I asked her if she was a debt collector and she said no so I asked her why she was calling then, she stated that she was able to make take payments on behalf of her clients so I said then that make you a debt collector. She got pissed, and said she would be sending out court papers and I would have to go to court and pay the 600 that we supposedly owed plus court costs. I told her she would have to prove that it was our debt first and as a matter of fact I told her they could contact my attorney with any additional information that they had. They are using scare tactics to get people into paying things they do t owe. If they call again I will contact my attorney who is a consumer protection lawyer. These people don't intimidate me.
