I had a credit card account with Credit One Bank. On December 31 of 2007 I transferred the entire balance of $320.00 with Credit One Bank to my fiance's low interest credit card. I then called and told Credit One that I wanted my account closed. They said to expect a letter of confirmation.

Instead, I received a bill dated January 8 of 2008 with new charges on the card that I had not authorized from a company called "Passport to Fun" and "Your Savings Club". These charges equaled $128.00. When I called Credit One their rep told me to actually call this "Passport to Fun" and "Your Savings Club" and have the charges reversed. I did this and I thought everything would be taken care of. I then received another bill in March with the same charges.

I called Credit One again and again telling them about the fraudulent charges and asking why my account had not been closed. On March 24 alone I called 4 times before I was sent to the fraud investigations phone number where no one answered. I called again and again with no answer. I was finally able to get in contact with someone who I thought was giving me legitimate answers in the first week of April. This rep told me to send a letter disputing all of the charges to their fraud department. I faxed to them the required information on April 4 of 2008 and proceeded to wait.

I then received another bill in May with new late charges. When I try to contact Credit One's customer service number, I am directed to a collection agency that has no idea what is going on with the case. These late charges and finance charges have been accruing since January and now equal $277.59. I do not feel that I should be responsible for these charges since the account was supposed to be closed in January!!

I am now receiving letters from the collection agency. I have tried over and over again to talk directly with Credit One Bank with no luck. I feel that they are ripping me off and that these charges should be absorbed by the company. I am very frustrated and would really like some help. I have also reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

I was recently going over a bill that these babboons keep sending out and it clearly states on the back of the billing statement that they cannot take any kind of collection actions against someone while there are fraudulant claims being investigated. When I try to call the fraud department I get a recorded message instructing me to leave a message. When I try to leave a message the machine tells me that the mail box is full. This tells me that they must get a lot of complaints every day or this is not a real phone number. Someone needs to put these people in their places!
