Hello

Dell Computers is robbing their customers when you purchase a new computer you get an account to download software, and if your computer crashes you can return to the accounts page to download it again. Today my computer crashed and I had to reinstall win 7 in my Studio XPS 7100 that I bought in 2010. Still works well and still fast enough. I went and logged into my Dell Computers accounts page to download my factory installed software and tried to download the software did not work said to contact Dell Computers so I did I told them it was out of warranty and I need my downloads. Well after 5 minutes they said to me the computer is out of warranty I said I told you that then they are telling me to get my downloads I’m going to have to get premium technical support is said you are kidding me I payed for this already. I’m getting an attorney and going to make their life’s miserable. Don’t Buy Dell Computers I’ve been having problems since I bought it the company is so large that one person can’t hurt them but in masses we all can Stay Away From Dell Computers they are like kangaroos’ and RUN you around in Circles When there is a problem

You can recover the original software by using the system recovery media that you created when you followed the directions on page 14 of the setup guide.

Certainly you remember this from page 14… NOTE: It is recommended that you create a system recovery media as soon as you set up Microsoft Windows.

So how long are they supposed to keep an INACTIVE account around?? Lets face it, YOU can get a lawyer but THEY have more money then YOU and can pay for an extended legal battle that YOU cannot. Once YOU lose YOU will be responsible for ALL the court costs, including THIER legal fees and you can be sure that the lawyers are going to pad their bill. First, get over it. Its FIVE YEARS LATER!!!! Unless the product or service YOU paid for is LIFETIME, then they are more then likely correct. YOUR warranty is expired. Why would YOU demand that THEY help YOU after the warranty is expired?? YOU are NOT going to pay them for their time and there are other customers who ARE in warranty that DO need assistance. Sounds to me like the USUAL self entitled spoiled rotten American consumer tactic. "Wait..WHAT? YOU wont help me for free after I bought something five years ago?!?! WHY NOT!!!! " Don't you see how YOU sound?? BOOHOOO!! WAAAAHHHHH!!!! "They want me to pay for them to work!!!"..............Everyone expects to be paid for their time. In THIS instance since YOUR warranty has expired, then YOU HAVE TO PAY!! this isn't hard to understand!! If YOU wouldn't work for free, then WHY would you expect that other people will?? So you go right ahead and "talk to your lawyer" the lawyer is going to laugh in your face and tell you there is no way on this planet that THEY are going to take a frivolous case against a multi billion dollar company over a issue that is completely and 100% YOUR FAULT!!! YOU ASSUMED!!! When YOU ASSUME, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! Don't try and play the victim because someone doesn't want to help YOU free of charge. Thankfully, the DO have better lawyers and they would win in a case against YOU for defamation in this post alone. YOU are NOT reporting some great cosmic injustice, you ARE whining that a service you had once paid for is no longer active. THAT is NOT their fault. Its YOUR warranty or service, its on YOU to keep it active and paid for. I hope Dell does find YOUR post. Perhaps having to face the music over your own actions and deeds will pound some sense into you. Common sense and LOGIC don't seem to get through to you, so I suppose that a more intense method must be used.
