I am so glad to have found all this out. Our credit isn't great my husband and i both have many medical issues and past bills that we are trying to get paid down. Our car is on its last leg and after trying hard at reputable dealers we just couldn't get a loan that would work for us, so we tried easterns. We applied on line and were told no money down so we drove over there and all the sudden we needed 2000 down not possible, so we walked.

Then today I got a call we have a car for you no money down and we can take your trade. So i leave my lunch with my sister and drive my beat up car that has a bad EGR valve on it over there -- 25 miles away.

They won't give me the exact year of the car nor the exact price of the car then ask for 1000 down. I say no then 750 still no. What about in installments they ask? I told them 500 was my limit with my trade in and 100 today and 400 soon.

Then it is well i'll have to see if the bank will accept that. Can you wait til 7pm -it is 3:30 and we had been there 2 hours- someone else is also looking at this car and they might buy it unless you have 2000 then you can take it now.

They do the double team approach and still don't break me. I told them I'd leave my car and wait for their call. 2 minutes down the road my husband says no this doesn't feel right and has my sister turn around.

I tell them that I have changed my mind I want my car and I am leaving. Then they get nasty. telling me they don't understand my reason, why would I want that. And blah blah blah.

I told him I didn't care if he understood. I changed my mind. They said fine take your car but we will call you later and let you know what the bank says.

Luckily I had been doing research and found that I have the power to walk when they have to sell that car. And that is all they wanted.

They did call at 630 like I predicted on the way home they were just waiting for me to give in but i knew what my limit was. Finally the banks had agreed to the 500 down and a payment of 265 a month for 35. and first payment was going to me a month and a half.400 almost plus my 500 dp 900 they'd want from me in the first month. But my husband had a bad feeling and as badly as I need a car i told them no and they hung up on me.

so thank you I had been feeling like maybe i missed my chance and now i know i only missed a chance to be ripped off. My sister told me she noticed a funny sound as it sat idling. Still don't know the year or amount of the car.

Funny thing is if i'd been approved I could have gotten a 2009 ford focus no miles @254 a month.
