Is Enterprise Auto Rental in dire financial straits?  If they are not, then why would they allow their employees (managers) to fabricate reasons to overcharge their customers?

My experience with Enterprise dates back approximately 14 years and I had never had a problem with them until one of their managers named Orlando Winfrey was assigned to their branch located in DeKalb, Illinois.  As soon as he walked in the door, he began to try to overcharge me for gas that was not warranted; time that the vehicle I had rented was parked on their lot which they had not checked in; and made allegations about vehicles needing detailing when they weren't even clean let alone detailed when I rented them!  When I reported these things to his corporate office, he retaliated by having a newly installed assistant manager (lackey) to attempt to corroborate one of his lies.  It appears that he has some type of personal problem and has adverse reactions when he tells the truth.  Could his attempted overcharge abuses be an attempt to cover up some of his own misdeeds, or is it an attempt to bolster the bottom line at that respective facility?  You be the judge.

 

Based upon the number of complaints that I have begun to see regarding this auto rental agency, they, obviously, need much more oversight.

It has become increasingly apparent to me that the Enterprise facility located on Sycamore Road in DeKalb, Illinois has little or no oversight.  Either that or the area supervisor condones his/her subordinates harassing customers by overcharging them, telling blatant lies and making baseless allegations.  Never before has my integrity been impugned and my activities been so scrutinized when I rented a car.

I have tried numerous times to do business with this facility while Orlando Winfrey was the manager there, to no avail.  I have even complained to Enterprise's corporate office  This, obviously, was a mistake because the harassment was allowed to continue and escalate.  In an attempt to alleviate a bad business relationship, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.  I really don't have time for such negativity.  My only hope is that other customers don't have to experience the type of idiocy that I experienced at this location.
