My husband and I first saw Esurance.com on an ad on Tv being as how we do almost all our billing by internet we thought this was a good Idea as our insurance policy wih Geico had ended. So I proceeded to do the online quote for Esurance, I was having some problems with the Esurance site so I called an operator to assist me with some help to insure I was getting the correct quote, the agent quoted me 390.01 for a 6 month premium with only basic coverage for a 1992 and 1994 Chavy Cavalier which we happen to own both vehicles, this was a good deal since the other quote we had gotten was 618.00 from
Geico for a 6 month premium with basic coverage with the same cars as previously mentioned so I purchased the policy on 8/12/2007 by putting down the down payment of 127.38 with 4 month payments of 66.00 which was what the agent told me so I printed out the temporary insurance cards that the agent said was available immediately and that the permanent cards would be available in 48hrs.
So I happened to get an email the next day 8/13/07 saying my premium had jumped up to 618.00 for the 6 month insurance premium so I went back to the site to see what had happened then I not only saw the first underwriting that put it at the 618.00 but also the final underwriting 8/14/07 that put it at 948.00 for a 6 month premium I immediately called Esurance and they told me that the original agent had not done his job and that they should have taken more for the down payment and since they hadnt that they would add it to my payments so my payemts would be 4 payments of 173.00 I expalined that is was not my fault that the agent did not do his job and voiced my many complaints about their service.
I stated I wanted to cancel my policy the agent stated I could not cancel with them unless I had insurance with another company so I stated that they should give me back my money so I could do so they told me this was not possible since I was insured with them. I happend to be low on funds so I was forced to wait until the end of the pay week then I got insurance with Geico on 8/29/07,then called Esurance and also wrote to them including all needed information to cancel my policy with Esurance they told me they would cancel it within 24hrs.
On 9/1/07 they sent me an email stating that my policy could not be canceled because of improper information so I sent the message again this time including the Geico Declarations of Insurance the same ones I had included in the first letter then they stated it would again be canceled in the required 24hrs I informed the agent that I have had problems with false statements from several other agents and asked her to confirm she had the email and that they had everything they needed she stated that everything was there that they needed.
Now it is 9/5/07 and my policy has still not been cancelled and I have recieved a bill for 300.00 plus dollars that have informed them I am not paying two insurance companies for the same coverage on the same cars and once again I am still waiting to be cancelled with Esurance.

Well I finally took it up with my bank after having finally cancelled on 9/20/07 only to have Esurance take 94.36 out of my account by my credit card on 1028/07 a month after i had cancelled. i voiced my complaints again to Esurance and they stated to me that they felt they were owed the money and basically getting it back. then i discovered because of Esurances contract the way the wod i no bank can get involved to help get your money back. so i was forceed to call two times a week to Ensurance until finally after almost a month of bothering them someone had the nerve to give me a 25.00 refund. so basically I paid 221.74 for 18 days of insurance which basically is 12.31 per day. never will I do business with them. they are corprate theives.
