Esurance ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing ripoff Sioux Falls South Dakota

On 5/13/07 I went online to esurance.com and filed for car insurance for $145.00 to start. They let me know I needed to show proof of prior insurance. I called the customer service number who informed me I could fax it in.

On 5/18/07 I faxed in my insurance cards and the company who is my broker. All of the phone numbers are on the paperwork faxed in.

On 5/21/07 I have four emails from esurance stating my information is needed, one states they need more information, and three state they have received the fax, but it is not good enough. I need to do a conference call, or fax in some different paperwork. I called the phone number on the emails, and they transfered me to customer service. They do not know how to pick up a phone and call my insurance company to get what they need, but they do know how to transfer my call.

I called them today to cancel. Customer service told me there is a $50.00 cancellation fee for California, and of course I am charged for the days they covered me. Even though they stated they did not have all the information they needed, and if I did not supply that said information within 24 hrs. they would raise my premium to only they knew how much. I will receive an estimated $47.00 refund out of $145.00, for 8 days of insurance coverage that they did not have the proper information on?

I want everyone to know this is a big Rip off company. They made enough money to make a phone call to my insurance company and get a simple fax. I am staying with my original insurance company.
