I firsted opened an account with First Convenience Bank in 2002. In Early 2003 I moved to California.I knew I had a couple NSF checks that did not clear my account when i left. They were just a couple of NSF's the bank did not pay anything out on them.

I am now back in Dallas as of 03-2006. I went to the Branch on Montfort Dr. and spoke to the Branch Manager Sadiq about them so I could take care of them. He tells me I owe them $1114.53. I ask him what that is for and he tells me he does not know and if I want to find out that it will cost me $10 per statement or sheet one or the other. So I tell him I will not pay them anything until I find out what I owe them for. So he tells me he will wave the $10 and get me the information.

Later on that day the Branch Manager calls me back and tells me he has gotten the $10 fee wave but there is a $6 fee for reseach will I pay that.(hahaha) I tell him no. I am not paying them anything for them to tell me what I owe the $1114.53 for. I asked for his boss's name and number. He tells me they are not allowed to give out that information, he can only give me their 800 number.

The next day I call the 800 number and talk to them. Tell them my problem and ask if they can tell me why I owe them so much for. They tell me no they can't and they give me two numbers of colection agencies that "should have my account."

I called one of them and they of course ask for my SS# and pull up my account. They tell me if I can take care of it now they will drop it down to $700. I explained to them my situation and asked them if they can do better then that because I should only owe for a couple of NSF's. He asked me if I would hold for a minute, then comes back on the line and tells me they do not have my account anymore I need to talk to the bank to find out who has my account now.

So I call back the Branch Manager again.... He tells me he will research it and call me back. He calls back and tells me it is not in collections that I still have an account with them and that I should still be getting statements from them.(hahaah) That it is a charge off account.

So I call back to the 800 number and ask to speak to a superviser. I start talking to one suposivly and ask for her name and employee ID number. She tells me her name is Luana. I ask for her last name and she tells me she can not give out her last. So I aske her what her employee ID number is and she tells me 7461. I ask here is that your employee number she says no it is her extension they do not have an employee number. She tells me my account is definitly in collections and gives me the same two numbers. So I tell her my story and still no help. She also tells me it will cost $20 for the first 1/2 hour and ever 1/2 hour after that to find out why I owe them this much money. So I ask to speak to her supervisor.

Heather is her name. I ask for her last name and employee ID number. She tells me it starts with a K but she can not give it out because of security reasons. (Gee why would they be worried about someone trying to do them harm.)I ask for phone number and extension and she tells me she can not give that out either, that I can just call the 800 number. So I tell her my story, and argue with her over the charges (for them to tell me what I owe them so much money for.)Finally she tells me she will mail me my last three statements.(No charges according to her) That I should get them in the mail in 7 to 10 days.

So then I call the other collection agency just to see what they say, and guess what they don't have my account either. It shows in there record that it went back to the bank in December.

I am sure this story is not over. I can't wait to see why they are charging me $1114.53 for just a couple of NSF checks.
