This is a copy of the letter that I sent to Game Crazy via their web-site:

Hi my name is Tony ______. I am a customer of Game Crazy and have made multiple purchases at your Oceanside location over the period of a couple of years. A couple of my recent purchases include the Nintendo Wii and a PS3. I purchased my PS3 on 3/31/2008, however I did not purchase the extended 1year in-store warranty. Today 4/6/2008 I discovered a glitch in my system, I cannot view the Menu Screen and my Bluetooth earpiece that I also purchased with my PS3 at times disconnects my controller. Anyways I read on the back of my receipt ( which I DO have ) and it clearly states your "Game Crazy Return Policy", Under the defective product section it states" If a NEW product is defective you may exchange it for the identical item. Store credit will be issued if the item is not in stock. After 7days refer to the manufacture"s warranty." As I said earlier I purchased the item on 3/31/2008, today is 4/6/2008 (6-days). I brought my console to the store located at 115 N El Camino Real, Oceanside, Ca. 92054, and was told by the in store attendant Joe _______ that your return policy would not be honored even after being shown the policy on the back of my receipt, he still refused. He then called his manager "Louie" and he re-enforced that the in-store return policy would not be honored. At that point I asked for the number to Corporate, I also had a witness time and date a piece of paper as proof that I was in the store with my PS3 in the box with my receipt on 4/6/2008 @ 5:50p.m. I do not want a cash refund, all I am asking for is that your store, honor the in store return policy printed on the back of my receipt and "Exchange" my "Defective Item for the Identical Item". I can fax any and all copies of the documentation that I have at your request. Please contact me regarding this matter as I would like to come to a resolution to this problem. Thank You for your time and I do apologize for the lengthy e-mail.
