Generac Guardian Generac makes an inferior product with impunity Waukesha Wisconsin

I bought a 16k whole house generator called a Guardian made by Generac in 2007. Within the first year a switch on the side of the engine that reports low oil went bad kept it from running because it hought it didnt have oil. Replaced under warranty but a month without the generator. Next within the same year the motor quit running. Despit efforts by the technicians they couldnt get it to run. Replaced under warranty. Now the outer casing is rusting to pieces and the machine will soon be on the ground.I live in the mountains of Virginia so there is no problem with salt but it looks exactly like that kind of damage. Fluffing up and flaking off in multiple layers. Generac hides behind the it's out of warranty thing and are totally unwilling to help me in ANY way. The parts they sell to replace my steel panels with aluminum will cost me around $1000 but the bottom,the worst part is still steel! The labor to do this will cost me another $1000. I paid $4,500 for the generator  and can't afford to just throw it away or to buy a new one. I am disabled and unable to work so I can't replace the parts myself and can't afford to buy a new one . I also need it frequently living in the mountains we are the first to lose power and the last to get it back.

I know it's out of warranty but there used to be a thing called customer satisfaction and good willand standing behind your product.

I believe this is class action suit worthy and am contacting The National Consumer Advocacy Association to start one because I already know I'm not the only one with this issue.

The bad thing about it is as Generac tech. told me they release junk to the field and expect the dealerships to absorb their incompetency in design.

Bottom line is : They just don't care.
