Green Tree Servicing An unscrupulous, harrassing and completely crooked company! Stay Away! Palatine Illinois

In 1999 I bought a mobile home and financed it with Green Point Credit. Unbeknownst to me, my mortgage was bought from them by Gree Tree Servicing in 2001. It was then my troubles began.

I filed for bankruptcy in 2003 but did NOT include my mortgage with Green Tree; it was reaffirmed in my paperwork which my attorney sent to Green Tree. The bankruptcy was final in May 2003, I continued to make my mortage payments as usual and nothing went amiss until 2006 when we fell behind two months on payment and received the first of several hundred harrassing calls from Green Tree. The lady (and I use that word lightly) I spoke with was extremely rude and refused to allow me to get a word in until she had issued a tirade into my ear about being late on the payments. When I at last was allowed to speak, I will admit I was just as rude and curt as she as I gave HER an earful about being so rude. It was then she informed me that I didn't actually HAVE a mortgage with Green Tree, but was simply "leasing" my mobile home from them due to the fact it had been INCLUDED in my bankruptcy. I argued the point fruitlessly and even faxed over a certified copy of my bankruptcy that was filed at the courthouse and got no response.

I then went online and checked my credit report...and sure enough, there it was! But is showed on the report that my mortgage with Green Tree ended in 2006...doesn't make sense. My bankruptcy was final in 2003. I called Green Tree back and got absolutely no where with them.

Since then, should we be one day late on the payment, they call...and they call...sometimes 6 times a day. They call my mother, they even call neighbors asking them if they know me and can they give me a message!! It's ridiculous! They have called and threatened to repo my home DOZENS of times, going so far as to tell me an appraiser was enroute to my home as we spoke and if I didn't make a payment by phone right then, my house was gone.

In 9 years, my principle has only gone down by $4000 yet I have paid them over $43,200. What gives? This company is rotten to the core and I think it is time someone did something about them! I am to the point I WANT them to come get the home and just leave my in peace. After all, it's already gone against my credit...what have I got to lose?
