Highbeam Research Complete FRAUD Internet
*Consumer Comment: Class action case filed

I signed up for a 7 day FREE trial and now have been billed for $314.95. I used the service for 10 whole minutes.
Upon calling the company, they state that because I signed up for the FREE trial that this automatically signs me up for one year of service. Why are they getting away with this and is there no way to stop this FRAUD????

"they state that because I signed up for the FREE trial that this automatically signs me up for one year of service. "
That's how most free trials work. You would have to cancel during the trial period in order to avoid charges (and they make cancelling as difficult as possible). Every free trial has the terms and conditions spelled out somewhere, but most people don't read them and end up being charged. This is why the Internet is full of "free" trials that require you to provide a credit or debit card number. This should be an obvious tip off, but most people don't seem to get it.
