First off, I thought that I was actually going to get a little help with getting a vehicle. This is my story which is apparently not to uncommon amongst JD Byrider/CNAC customers.

I was referred by an acquatance to JD Byrider when I was in need of a car. I went and picked out this cute little Kia. I really liked it. I took it for a test drive and found a few little cosmetic issues with it, but I knew that it was a used car so I did not push the issue. The only things that I asked them to fix before I chose to purchase was it needed a radio and the air conditioner needed to be charged. So all was good to go.

My husband came and took a look at it and asked me if it was what I really wanted and if I really wanted to purchase it from this place. I told him yes that they were going to fix the issues. So we sat down with the sales department and discussed a trade in and down payment and a payment plan. We were told that no one would ever pay over 280 a month. Well my payments came to be 290 a month, no biggie. I traded in my current car and still had to put down 1500 dollars. So already we were seeing issues. All of the added expenses and fees that they tacked on pretty much made my trade in and down payment look like nothing.

We were finishing up the paperwork and my husband asked if we could take it for another test drive to make sure this was what I wanted. So the sales associate went with us and we took it around the block. As we were pulling back into the lot the car completely died and would not start again. The fuel indicator light came on and so did the check engine light. At this point the sales associate said that we were already locked into the car and that we could not be refunded the money we already put down. My husband and I were irate.

The service shop came and got the car. We then went inside and discussed what was going to happen now that the car just killed over. The manager came in and said they would loan us an overnighter vehicle and they would fix the problems. So at this point we were so upset and had no other choice but to take the deal. We took the overnighter and came back the next day for the car.

They did fix the issues that we had found in the car and they did fix the fuel pump. We were a little satisfied with that. Things were going ok for about a week and the check engine light came on again and the car needed a front end alignment after being able to drive it on the highway we realized that. So I scheduled a service. The problems that just started happening after the service was unbelievable. The brakes, the heater core, electrical issues, 2 different tire sizes on the car and even a spare tire that was almost wire thin. Things that they did a good job of distracting from the naked eye.

I have had this car for 6 months and I have already put more money into it than it is worth. I am very disappointed with JD Byrider and CNAC. I just want to let everyone know that I went there because I was referred Not because I had the worst credit. I do not have perfect credit but I do not have BAD credit either. I make my payments on time and even over-pay. I do not even take it back to JD Byrider when things go wrong on it. I resorted to taking it to the actual KIA dealer in town. They are actually amazed that this car was even sold to me.

I am disappointed with CNAC as their lien holder also. I have been very punctual with my payments. I even over pay. I am disappointed with how their staff has handled me as a person. When the associate came out to fill out the expense worksheet she was very rude and demeaning. She was acting like she was doing us a favor by even gracing us with her presence. Like I stated earlier I do not have bad credit nor do I have great credit. I have credit probably like most people and it is in the middle. It was just really upsetting being treated like a person who goes out and gets things on credit and never pays for them.

I was in ICU for an allergic reaction to a medication I was taking. My husband contacted CNAC after he checked my voicemails and had about 20 calls saying that my payment was due that day. He explained to them what was going on and they totally disregarded what he had to say. He and I have seperate checking accounts so it is not like he can just get into my account. I was out of the hospital the day after my due date and the first thing I did was went and my payment. I explained to them what happened. They told me that I should have thought ahead and had my payment ready. I do not know how a person is to plan for an allergic reaction to medication so I am still baffled with that one. Every since then they call my cell and work phone to make sure that I will be in on my due date. I do not appreciate being treated like this.

My husband and I are both trying to pay this car off as quick as possible so we can be rid of it, JD Byrider and CNAC all together. I was referred by someone I know I will NEVER refer a person to this company. I would suggest that people BOYCOTT!! Thank you for your time. Good luck to all who have been abused by these companies.
