We invested $50,000 into the Kis Golf Company in Memphis, TN in Jan 2008. We did not receive a check in Sept. and was told the check would be mailed with our Oct. check. When the Oct. check didn't arrive my husband called the owner of the store and was told that the company went bankrupt. The owner states he was just informed that day. We were also members of the store in Atlanta. We have lost alot of money and no one has officially informed us as to what happened. We know what money we should have received in the last three months as we were told what our percentage was. What happened? I am so disgusted, the company was making money. So one has definetly mishandled alot of money! George McGill, the least you could do is call your investors and explain to us what happened.

Not everyone can afford to go to meetings

AUTHOR: Chip And Debra - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 23, 2008

I would have loved to have gone to the bankruptcy meeting but unfortunately we do not have the money to travel from S.C. to TN. We are worried about paying the bank back on our investment. There is no extra to spend.

Where were all the concerned members on 12/16??

AUTHOR: TS - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 21, 2008

My wife and I drove from Atlanta to Nashville on Wednesday morning to attend to the KIS Bankruptcy Hearing. All though the hearing only lasted 30 minutes, I received some very good information on how to pursue this thing. What really bothered me is that one..... only 7 people out of 1000s bothered to show up for the hearing. I was excepting to see a court room packed with people. The other thing that got me is that on the creditors list there were only 14 creditors that had filed a claimed against KIS GOLF! My wife and I made 15. Seems to me that if people are concerned about being ripped off there would have been more people there. I do understand that there are alot of people that really don't know what's going on. I didn't find out until Thanksgiving that all this was going on. For all of the members and ex-employees in Nashville I would have expected more people there. If you haven't filed a proof of claim against KIS PLEASE do so ASAP! I think I saw one ex-employee on the list that has filed. If you are not on the list of creditors AND haven't filed a proof of claim you will not get ANYTHING! So everyone knows.....The Chapter 11 is now a Chapter 7. This is because KIS failed to appear before the board around the first week of December. This info came from the US Bankruptcy Court trustee himself. I have created my own blog about this. We need to post and talk about all this on ONE blog and not have it all over the place. For people trying to get help it makes it hard. I haven't posted the info from the hearing yet to my blog but I will have it all up tonight. LET'S ALL BAND TOGETHER AND PUT THESE KIS FOLKS IN JAIL AND TRY TO GET OUR MONEY BACK!!!! http://kisbankruptcy.blogspot.com/

Beware of BEHONEST

AUTHOR: Rippedoff - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 11, 2008

I too am a partner. WAS a partner. I am out less than $100k. The owner of Kis Golf has filed bankruptcy dozens of times in the last 20 years under different businesses. They are already regrouping to start again. Yes, this was a great plan. Greed stepped in and ruined it all. Do not sign on for more. They claim to be Christians to disarm you. It worked on my family. I've lost a lot of faith in people but none in Jesus.

POSTED: Wednesday, December 10, 2008

I apologize for upsetting you. I must have read your comment completely wrong, because it sounded like you were upset with everyone trying to fight Kis Golf for there money back, which I took personally, because I am trying to get my money back. Now, maybe $6515.00 is not a lot to you, but it is to me. You might be welling to throw in the towel, but I am not.

What?

AUTHOR: Behonest - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 10, 2008

Nicole,
I don't know where your comment comes in for this particular report. It is addressing investors. I'm not sure if you read the entire thing or just decided to comment randomly on a subject matter that doesn't concern you.
If you read the whole thing you wouldn't have written what you did.
Your sorry that I feel that we have to press on and try to gain something from the failures we've witnessed???? Your family lost 6515? Well, mine has lost $425,000.00 and we know we're not getting it back so what do we do? Well, the only thing we know to do is to learn from the mistakes of others. I'm speaking from the perspective of an employee/investor. We're trying to help the families (like you) that joined in our area.
So, please think about what you write before you write it.

Is anyone interested in capitalizing on the failure of this company?

AUTHOR: Nicole - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 10, 2008

I don't think anyone is looking to "capitalize on the failure of this company". I am very sad that you feel this way. My family and I lost $6515.00 and chances are not looking good on getting this back. How is requesting the money back when we were only members for 1 month, as capitalizing on the failure of this company??

Confusion from last night

Another person was logged in and posted the response titled I know for a fact the Memphis location is not opened. He showed me the report then I sat down to give an accurate account of what is going on. I submitted the rebuttal not realizing that I was still signed in under my friends login.
So, the second rebuttal called Clarification is from me.
Sorry for any confusion.

Clarification

There are several misleading or false statements in this report.
Just to clarify, the entire investment went to Kis Golf Inc...directly to corporate. It was specified that you would be paid based on the sales of the location in Memphis but the all of the money went to corporate. ALL of the money, regardless where it came from, went straight to corporate. Investors paid corporate. All the money from every membership sold went directly to corporate.
The OWNER of the store in Memphis IS corporate just like all of the other locations.
This is how it went down....one day we're on a conference call listening to how the company is going to make it through the tough economy and the next we get a text message from another employee at a different location saying the word is Kis is filing bankruptcy. One day we have jobs and insurance coverage and two days later read about the bankruptcy online! That is NO lie.
We are the "partners" at the Memphis location. We paid in to be partners but as the contract would have it, we don't own anything except 'the rights to half the profit'.
We tried to run a business that has such a mighty potential for success and got the ball dropped on us just like everyone else.
Once we confirmed the bankruptcy had been filed by way of an attorney looking it up, we started trying to figure out how we could keep doing business. We are so very concerned about all the members here and want to do whatever we can to help them. This business does work. It is a good business WHEN it is run with honestly and integrity. Kis didn't do a good job of that and it started from the top and spilled out all over. There isn't any reason that I can see that this should have happened. I'm of the opinion that is greed and poor management of money.
The truth is there isn't anything we can do about what Kis did or didn't do. They are gone. There is no more Kis Golf.
I realize that so very many people are angry and want someone to pay or be punished. I feel like that myself. My family has lost much. If you combine the packages and investments that our immediate family put into Kis it is more than $400,000. It's gone. We want it back. We are mad. We are hurt. We are disgusted. There aren't words to describe our worries about the future but we can't focus on that. If we focus on how angry we are then we will not be productive.
If all of us stay focused on trying to punish someone we're going to stay right where we are.....furious. What will that do for us? Nothing but make us bitter people. What can we do? Well, I believe all things happen for a reason. We were able to be a part of a business that could have grown into something really great. The footprint is amazing. Had the concept been executed with honesty and integrity we'd be looking at a huge success! I believe that with all that is in me. So, shouldn't we learn from the mistakes of others? I think so. It's our plan to now go forward and make the good parts of this business plan work.
Instead of joining together to bash the company or sue someone or speculate about what really happened we need to join together and gain from this loss. Most of the people who joined, invested or bought in for a partnership did so because we believed in it. We weren't all victims of a scam. This was a business that worked and worked well for all those involved IF done the right way. Something did go wrong and it wasn't just a rough economy but we won't know what it was and it wouldn't matter if we did. The only thing we can do now is move on.

Good luck hearing from George McGill

AUTHOR: Geoffrey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 06, 2008

I'm sorry you were convinced to invest in the scheme that was KIS Golf, but you will never ever hear from George McGill or Chuck Nance. As a matter of fact. You will probably never hear from any of the sorry people that actually ran KIS. The fact is that CHUCK and GEORGE and DON will never write on here again because they know what d****eBAGS they are. Please i just wish they would write on here so everyone could blast their A$$. They just took your money and ran with it, and left everyone else wondering WTF just happened.
