A Legal Zoom Rep. provided false information to me resulting in my LLC going into "Default" status. I no longer have a "Good Standing" and late fees. I received email notifications via Legal Zoom for me to file my Annual Report / Business License and Reg, Agent fee in May for my LLC. So, I made a call in May (one of several), and was told by a Call Center rep. that, my Annual Report / Business LIcense wasn't due to June. Following his advice I made a another call in May to go ahead and at least pay the Annual Reg. Agent fee. As a result of taking the advice of a Legal Zoom Rep. I am now in "Default" , with no "Good Standing" and additonal late fees. In effort to resolve this I called Legal Zoom to accept responsibility for the misinformation that a rep. gave me. They informed me that they would file the Annual Report / Business License with the State. But when I received the filing, it was the filing from the previous year, showing that it was already expired. From that point on, I have been lied to, hung up on, put on hold in an attempt to discourage an escalation, etc. The review once escalated was bogus. They didn't review all the calls that were made in May. There was no honest effort by Legal Zoom to accept accountability for the misinformation giving to me by a rep. Why would I pay an entire yearly fee for a Reg Agent without having a Business to support it? That's proof that I trusted a Legal Zoom Rep. at his word. Now they want to deny what a rep. told me. To make this claim with a Reg. Agent fee paid (yearly) is valid and they know it. I've had problems with the Legal Zoom website giving irrevelent alerts,(at least that's what they told me) etc. Legal Zoom claims to review your calls for resolution, when attempting to resolve an issue. But,when asked to go back and review the notes listed in calls that I made recently where the reps. hung up, gave inconsistant information prior to a previous call, being put on hold to discourage an escalation, etc. none of that is listed in their notes or call logs. But, I'm supposed truly believe they honestly reviewed my case. The apologies from Legal Zoom and outright denial of any wrongdoing makes this situation even worst than I could've imagined. A "Default" listing and no longer having a "Good Standing" has ruined a new business concept. Legal Zoom is 100% responsible for the misinformation that was given to me by their reps. But all they what to do is waive their filing fees, what a joke. I now have lost time, money and there have been delays as a result of the misinformation and inconsistent practices given by Legal Zoom reps. Their business practices are very unethical and their customer service offically sucks. This review will be posted everywhere so that potential consumers will know what to expect from Legal Zoom.
