BEWARE OF LENDINGTREE! BOYCOTT! MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT!

When you complete information about yourself in LendingTree.com, you are actually MAKING AN APPLICATION FOR CREDIT with lenders. I did not realize this. I thought I was just going to get calls from lenders to see if the product they had would work for my situation. Then I got a letter of denial from a lender that I had not even talked to, and of course, they say they will notify the credit bureaus!

I think this is unethical and should be illegalized! I have filed formal complaints, and hopefully they will be put out of business or at least change the way they do things! If you have a complaint, please file it with www.ftc.gov/credit.
