Lincoln Financial Group Disability Claim Rip-Off Omaha, Nebraska

I too have had disabilit claim with Lincoln Financial.  I recently had shingles and have been out of work for six weeks due to complications.

Lincoln Financial waited the entire six weeks and then denied my claim the day I am scheduled to return to work.  According to the CSR, their guidelines (which they refuse to give me a copy of) state shingles are only allowed to last for two weeks.  I wish someone had told my shingles that!!!!

I am seeing a neurologist who states he is willing to write a rebuttal letter but Lincoln state it does not matter what the doctor says because they can only go by their guidelines....I guess medical records and test results don't mean anything.

The worst part is my employer is actually Life of the South (they contract with Lincoln to do their disability claims). They are stating they may have to let me go because I "abused" the company's disability policy.   In fact I am sitting by the phone right now waiting to hear if I can return to work on Monday...
