Magic Jack Magic Jack Plus Blocked local area calling Florida

 I have had Magic Jack for several years now and was able to make and recieve calls from my local area so that was when I decided to cancel my local phone company Brandenburg Telephone Company, Up until about 7 months or so ago , I couldn't contact any local area around me I would get this message telling to me to go online to buy a prepaid card which was odd , I never recieved that message before , I couldn't call my childrens school, the library or any of the stores around my area, I ended up contacting magic jack they said they would check into, the local school could contact me so I was ok with that, until Magic Jack got back with me , they never did , they said they would but I haven't heard from them , I ended up contacting them again but still never heard nothing back except something about these calls are platform calls , I have no idea what that is and they begin to tell me I have to purchase a prepaid card and I refuse to do so because it states on there website call Free international US call, and thats how it was when I bought the product, I begin to ask for a refund and they refuse I renew each year there is really no point to have the magic jack if I can't even make calls on it, They then tell me its Brandenburg Telephone company who is blocking my calls! I feel that is wrong and I should be able to get ahold of my children if I need to check on them or talk to the teacher about things its a PUBLIC School! I paid money for this service and can't even use it!

They refuse to check into it now and then begin to tell me its Brandenburg Telephone company

That I need to purchase a prepaid card I call it False Advertistment and no warning was given!

I would like them to give me a refund but they refuse to and it was on a online chat and she ended the chat!

What I find Wrong is :

I would be afraid to buy a magic jack because you have no way of knowing you can use there service until you buy the product which I think is so unfair!

Or having the product work for a few years and then all of a sudden stop letting you make phone calls to your local area!
