Mr. Rooter Constant lies and asking for money before job done. Scam artists Youngstown, Ohio

On February 7, 2013 I contacted Mr. Rooter to come out and clean my drain that was backed up in the basement as I saw the add for $95.00 to clean out the drain.  When the technician Jason came he looked n the drain and said I had a major problem and would have to run a camera down to check out the problem.  He then said it would cost me additonal money for the camera.  I said ok and he proceeded and said that he now would have to do a Hydro scrub with Jet to clean out the drain and that would cost $796.08 and if that did not work that would have to dig up the yard outside as there were broken tiles under my basment floor.  He then said it would cost $5200 to excavate 8 to 12 feet of ground and would install a clean out above grad.  He required me to give him a check right then for $5200.00 as they require the amount be paid up front before they could do the service.  I went to work and they called and said they would need to dig an additonal amount of ground to replace some more pipes and that would cost $3200.00 more.  I can home at lunch time and the gentlemen that was here said that they were leaving and would come back the next day to finish that part.  I said so the $3200.00 that was given to do that job would be done the next day and he said yes.  I called Jason and told him to come back that night as I wanted to talk to him before any more work was done.  He came that night and said that they would need to reline the pipes in the basement which would cost $4,040 and and another $4,040 to go out to where they excavation was.  I told him that I went online and found out that there was a senior citizen discount for 10% and he said ok that he would givbe me that discount from that point on.  I was also told that it would cost much much more to dig up the old pipes in the basment and put new ones in.  I spoke to another individual and he gave me the price of $5,000 to put new pipes in and excavation to complete the job outside.  I was totally being ripped off and told Jason that if he just covered up the hole that he made and put the clean out in outside that i was done and that was included in what I had already paid and he said yes.  I told him to do that and that was all I needed them for anymore.  Later that night I got a call from Jason and he told me that the excavator had done half of the job of $3200.00 and that I still owed them $1600.00.  I said you told me when I was in the basment and my electrician was there that we were paid in full.  I have the witness for that conversation.  He said no that i still owed them $1600.00 and received an invocie for $1600.00.  I have called them at least 5 times about the invoice and no one will every call me back.  As far as I am concerned I feel I am paid in full and do not owe any more money to them.  Watch them as they will do anything to get to excavate and also to reline your pipes which is totally OVERPRICED.  Stay away from MR. ROOTER.
