National Positions Gary Puterman, CFO Another Victim of National Positions False Claims and Harmful SEO Strategy Agoura Hills, California

Just another version of the same National Positions story. I communicated with them in May 2011 and their sales representative recommended an SEO campaign that would have "explosive results". The program would cost $900 per month and result in Google 1st page ranks for 3 crucial keywords that were already positioned on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages of Google as well as other keywords he recommended and generate leads within 3 months.

After 9 months of constant communications with the company (500+ emails) about my concerns and watching keyword ranks fall, those 3 crucial keywords were pg. 6, pg. 18 and the last one not ranked at all. Also, no other keywords were in any competitive position and not one single lead had
been generated for the business.

After months of going up the chain of command with my concerns, I finally ended up communicating with Arthur Yannoukos, COO and Gary Puterman, CFO when I finally indicated that I couldn't allow my business to be further harmed by National Positions and requested a full refund from them to
move on.

In addition to denying my request, in an email, Mr. Puterman made this threat:

you are free to dispute the charges with your credit card company and take other legal action, but I will caution you again against embarking on an unfounded smear campaign against National Positions. If you do we will institute legal action against you for trade libel, interference with
contractual business relations, interference with prospective business relations and unfair competition.  Furthermore, in addition, we shall pursue punitive damages against you if your action causes it. 

Initially, I filed complaints with the Santa Barbara Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General of California. The BBB stated that BBB did not find business made good faith effort to resolve complaint. and has since suspended National Positions BBB Accreditation. The Attorney Generals
complaint is still pending.

Despite National Positions deceptive business practices and damage the company had caused to my business, I was willing to leave on reasonable terms in February with a refund to start to at least restore the keyword rankings that were in existence before they were destroyed by National Positions SEO Strategy. Another 2 months has passed and no communications or offer of a resolution from the company which has prompted me to make this post.

I have had initial consultations with attorneys regarding a lawsuit, but was hoping to avoid having to go that route. It seems that National Positions may leave me no option.
