NetDetective This company is a total scam, and so is the company that recommended them Internet

Consumer-Advisory.org looked legit, I took their recommendation for another site to do a search of criminal records -- NetDetective. I went thru the sign up process, gave them the credit card info required to access the search (a $29 charge), waited for the confirmation email, and logged in to the site.

I was taken to a page where you input the info but there were no records in the report, I changed the state to the one in which the person whose info I wanted was born, raised and married at least once (previously known info) and again I got no report. Each time I would input a new state in which I knew this person had lived and had some kind of charge filed, I would get looped back to the login page and then back to the inquiry page, and the report would come up blank.

So I went back to the site that recommended them to lodge a complaint. The email address given at that page generated a bounce back:

The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----

(reason: 550 No Such User Here)

Going back to search site, I searched for a "contact us" link, none to be found.

I immediately called my credit card company and reported this. I canceled that card and requested a new account. Luckily the site did not request further info like SS# but it did require name address and credit card # plus security #.

If anyone knows of a legitimate criminal charges search site please, post that info, The info on the person I'm seaching is required ASAP.
