A word to help make us wisher as a onling shopper. Newegg.com one of the biggest on line dealers and say they have the lowest online price is something to check out before ordering anything from them no matter the item or cost. Find what your looking for then click on that part they work hard to try to hide newegg.com/Info/ReturnPolicy.aspx#6 this is a link to about every item they sell. everything they sell is sold on a non Non Returnable and AS Is You can spend $10,000 to $100 everything thet sell is Non-refundable

newegg return policies

With purchases on newegg, they clearly list a specific return policy for each item before purchase.
Like someone else said, check for:
manufacturer refund policy
newegg refund policy
manufacturer exchange policy
newegg exchange policy
manufacturer defective item policy
newegg defective item policy
Not all of these may be there but you need to check for each.
Many items purchased in stores can't be returned either.
#3 Consumer Suggestion
Cheaper elsewhere is not better

The truth is that while I love newegg, they don't always have the lowest prices around. That's why it's so important to shop around and I agree completely with the comment about ebay and that person's same experiences.
I tried buying a camera from two other sites (the 2nd site finally shipped it after calling to "confirm" my order (and trying to get me to buy everything under the sun they strait up lying to me) and then calling the supervisor for that person and complaining but I'm still waiting on the item which may very well be a gray market item) because it was about $50 cheaper than newegg. That savings has NOT been worth it at all and I'm not sure if it will be in the end. Newegg has always been fantastic and hastle free and while bad products do happen (blame the manufacturer if it doesn't work, not the person who sold it!), I've never had a problem with them. Keep in mind the return policy and don't order things right before you go out of town when there's a 7 day return policy. That's more than enough time to get the CPU, put it in the machine to see if it works, and work on getting a replacement if it doesn't. They have such a short return policy because it's either going to work out of the box or it won't and if it fails later on, you're through the manufacturer's warranty.

that last post sounds like an employee of newegg, i would say. who else would go into such detail in the company policy and would try so hard to defend them.
I would think most all of the reports for newegg have rebuttals by their employees hehe (i am not racist but they do sound like an asian wrote it), check for yourself. the company aint that bad but they so so trying to sell you their little computers and electronics...
#1 Consumer Suggestion
your report is misleading

I have purchased a large number of items from NewEgg for my business. Your report is misleading..
most items CAN be returned within 30days with a 15% restocking fee - none if defective.. other items like laptop's etc have a "no return policy RMA through vendor only" and some items have a "return only if defective for exchange for the exact same item" this is all clearly mentioned to the customer when they purchase. In fact when I bought my recent laptop it came up with a specific warning about the return policy I had to click on to specifically sign.
newEgg is an authorized Reseller for EVERY item they sell. (this is VERY important especially with equipment from vendors like Cisco when fakes are high) Ebay is an auction site.. the sellers are not authorized + you have no promise the item you recieve is going to be factory sealed new -vs- a refurb unit or a gray market item... there are also cases of people paying for items on ebay and never recieving anything at all - the seller simply disappears with your money.
is NewEgg the cheapest of major online authorized vendors?
they are compeditively priced.. the problem I have had with lower priced vendors is thier website says "in stock" I place an order a week later nothing shows up and I get an email that it's "backordered" I have placed over 100 orders with NewEgg and yes.. I've had to return some items that were defective (paid no restock fee) returned other items I simply didn't like (and paid the 15%) overall Newegg treats customers fairly.
