Purchased the deluxe (most expensice and thickest)' heavy-duty pool cover with 5 year warranty one year ago. Used pool cover from May 15, 2010 thru november 1, 2010, then removed cover from pool, placed protective sleeve on pool cover, then stored it.

Re-installed in on pool this May, discovering that the plastic was beginning to crack and dis-integrate in a number of spots. Phoned PoolDeals.com to discuss warranty process. Recorded message states that "due to high call volume, a response will be sent via email".

The email from CustomerSupport@PoolDeals.com said:

"This item is backed by a manufacturer's warranty. We don't actually handle the warranty, as we do not manufacture the product. All of the warranty information & details were shipped with the item. Please refer to the warranty paperwork for coverage information." Thanks. > > Customer Support > > Pool Deals > > 1775 Baseline > > Rd., Ste. 280 > > Grand Island, NY 14072

I wrote back and asked for the manufacturers address, phone number or email/web address.

PoolDeals eMail reply states: "We do not keep copies of the individual manufacturer's warranty Information.  All warranty information is included in the box when you receive it.  All of our products arrive with the manufacturer's warranty details for you to register the product and keep for your records.  Thanks.

Information about solar cover

AUTHOR: Tim Y - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2011

I also purchased a Ray Max solar cover from these jokers and their web site advertises false claims about the quality of their product. My cover lasted one season and is coming a part.  The cover may be from Midwest Canvas 1-800-433-4701 and if you call them they maybe able to help you.  Ask for the warranty department and let them know when you received your shipment and they'll have record of it.  Pool Deals drop ships everything.  I talked with a guy named Paul and I told him that Pool Deals makes impossible false claims and have very poor customer service.  My cover was 30 days out of warranty and they fixed me up. They'll ask you to pay the shipping which is part of the warranty.

You may want to ask for Paul first.  He's on top of the food chain their.  I hope this helps!
