These guys made me give them my credit card number to hold the estimate and give you 48 hours to call back confirm and book a move. I called back WITHIN AN HOUR and they told me it was no problem. But they took $467.00 from my account, did not contact me and had no intention of going ahead with the move. When I called back I got the run around numerous times and finally one supervisor frist told me its non-refundable, then when i mentioned the 48 hours i was given to confirm, he said "No we said 4 to 8 hours.

What business sets refund periods with a 4 hour window? Even if that was the case, as ridiculous as it sounded, I had called back within one hour. Then I was told he would give me half. When I refused that he hung up on me. I've complained to the BBB and hopefully these guys go down. They have had complaints before about broken items and poor customer service and now I hope everyone sees that they are nothing but Thieves!

#2 Consumer Comment

Did you let then know of this report? ..like there are just a few core companies that use a bunch of subsidiaries that they hide behind

AUTHOR: Darren - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 15, 2004

Hi Ian,
I am not sure what it is about Florida, but it just seems to me that it has an awful lot of complaints in the moving category. What I also find interesting is that there always seems to be multiple company names. It seems like there are just a few core companies that use a bunch of subsidiaries that they hide behind.

Anyway, I hope that you contacted this company and provided them with a link or copy of this report. The best way to get a response from a company is to file the report and THEN let them know. They often say that they would have been happy to deal with this before it got reported... but I somehow doubt that since the reporter found the need to report them here. There would be no need if the situation had been cleared up originally.

Please let them know about the report and then post back to let us know. It would be interesting to see if they feel they can justify their behavior... and it helps your case by letting them know that it has been reported where many can see it.

This is not their first report here.

Thanks,

Police, Bank, Attorney General

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

These are the three agencies you need to contact. First, the bank (or credit card company) since you did not actually authorize this charge. Then the police, for credit card fraud. Then the attorney general in your state and Florida, for the same reasons.
