Received a call from Daniel Luirette of REALTOR.Com in Oct 2014. He discussed the amount of solid business leads I was currently receiving through my Real Estate office's lead program. Keep in mind, the market was beginning to slow down a bit so not much coming in, when he called. He convinced me that he could guarantee an average of at least 10 leads per month of serious, qualified home buyers. Solid leads! He sounded very convincing as we talked on the phone for a very long time. He claimed that with his program, home buyers would come from multiple sources rather that just my company's lead program. He offered me one of few zip code area left within my desired range, with an average median home price of $180k and he assured me that when something closer to my location opened up, he'd contact me to switch zip codes. Daniel then said he needed a credit card to start the process. But I objected and told him I wanted only to receive a monthly billing, as I do each month with other services and utilities. He agreed we could do that, but still required a credit card to bill this first month. Since I believed REALTOR.Com to be a well known and reputable company, I trusted him. Weeks later Daniel Luirette called me with a new zip code closer to my desired location, which had a slightly higher median average home price. He said he would switch my service area and credit my account for the previous zip code, but needed to bill my card once more for the new zip code. Again, REALTOR.Com - I trusted them. When I finally checked my credit card statement, I found double charges on my account for several months, but zero, zilch, nada, nothing, no services from REALTOR.Com! My only leads came from my R/E company, not REALTOR.Com! In December I called REALTOR.Com customer service to cancel this so called "service" explaining that there were no leads from REALT|OR.Com, as Daniel Luirette had promised. The customer service rep said "ok", as simple as that, leading me to believe the service was cancelled, but the charges kept appearing each month on my credit card statement for not one but two zip codes, even though Daniel Luirette assured me he was cancelling and crediting one for the other. I have also left multiple voice mails on Daniel Luirette's direct line but he has never return my calls. Mean while REALTOR.Com continues to charge my credit card for 2 service areas of absolutely no service! I called customer service again, and this time was transferred to a rude woman who told me she was one of two people who were authorized to cancel these services and was on vacation in December. She said she would review my account and call me back but I never heard from her again! Mean while, REALTOR.Com continues to charge my credit card and provide me with nothing. Realtors beware! Please don't fall for their inflated sales pitch and false promises. REALTOR.com is a scam!
