realtor.com I do not have my PA home listed for sale, I do not have any contract, no account with realtor.com, did not give them permission to list or to show any information about it on the internet nor anywhere else. Yet, they show my home on realtor.com with totally bogus, fake description, and with an estimated price of significantly bellow what it was 2 years ago. I don't know what they want, if this is some sort of extortion operation or what. I want them out of my home and my life and I want out of their scam. I will not pay them anything. So, now I will write, file complaints every where that I can, perhaps something will come of it. misrepresentation of property, scammers. Internet

This, despite of other homes on that street being up in price. They even have a chart that shows it as dropping sharply in price giving the impression that it is of bellow average condition and value compared to others. This is a scamming operation, there is nothing on their listing as to how to opt out of this fake advertising that they conduct. I just noticed this, and looks like they uploaded their lies recently. Confused

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, December 30, 2018

If your home isn't for sale, what does it matter if they give a suggested value of $1 or 10 Million dollars? Although I would bet dollars to doughnuts that if they had a suggested value of your home that is more than it was a couple of years ago you would not have posted this "RipOff".

These type of sites get most of their information from public records, such as Property Tax information. As such with this type of information since it is public they don't need your permission to post it, if the local laws allow them to. If it is a rental unit they may be pulling that information from other sites.  If you are delinquent or in any sort of modification or foreclosure process that information may also be publically available. Then from that they also usually have some calculation based on "comps" in an area to come up with a "suggested value", but it is just that what they feel the price should be, there is no legal binding to it at all.

But with all of this said, what exactly is their "scam"? Are they making any money off of what you claim is false information? It seems that in the end that could only hurt them and their credibility,  If what you are saying is correct. What is the advantage of them advertising a house that is NOT for sale?
