Rephen Law Firm I have never been more or afraid or threatened in my life. New York City New York

I had a returned check that I lost track of. I truly thought that it had been sent back through the bank. Recently I am trying to get my finances in order after a long illness and found this mistake. I had to do some major tracking to find that it had ended up with the Rephen Law Firm. I have received no written notification. When I called their office on July 20, to try and fix this problem, it was a shock. I spoke with Joseph Francis, who was extremely reluctant to give a name. But this person was full of condemnation. The amount I now owed was $120.00 more than the original check. I was accused of deliberately writing the check without funds and told I shouldn't pay all my bills when I get my SSI check. I tried to explain about my bad health and was told"I Dont care." Bottom line, I was told the money had to be in his office in very short time or the matter would be turned over to law enforcement. I took a title loan on my car to pay this off, and was so afraid I couldn't make it to the Dr. My son came through and took care of this so my car is free of this. Now that I did this, I am worried, did this really settle my problem and clear the check. These are the rudest, hard-hearted people I have met. I pray God will mend their ways.
