Rephen Law Firm Rude, Smart Aleck, Uncooperative New York New York

My husband received a call from The Rephen Law Firm, Steve Tucker. He called me at work and gave me the number to call. I called and received Steve Tucker right away. He said he was collecting a check from back in March. I was aware of some checks but thought that had been taken care of. I asked him to fax me some information to work so I would know what I was paying because the check was for $23.00 and he wanted $170.00 using my debit card. He said he would not fax anything to me because he didn't have to. The only fax I would receive was after they received the money. Sounds fishy to me. I explained I would not give him that information over the phone because I didn't know him and had not received anything in the mail from him or the firm. He was very rude even at one point telling me to shut up so he could speak. I asked who his supervisor was and he said he didn't have a supervisor.

After getting off the phone I called the company he said the check was still outstanding and they (surprise) can't find an outstanding check and had never heard of Rephen Law Firm in New York. Said they always call their customers anyway if a check comes back.
