The above entertainment industry agency (supposedly) contacted me because of seeing my resume on careerbuilder.com. Since I am looking for ways to make extra money so I took some time to check out their website the best I could and call them.

But, the hitch was, there was a 30 day free trial to use their site (password & ID protected)and you had to provide a bank or credit card number for them for information packet for around $9.95 and the 30 day usage of their site for jobs, and that would be refunded should you not stay active after 30 days or register with their internet talent search agency site.

Well, in a matter of days I was not happy with what I found or how I was treated when trying to reach these people and get answers to questions I had, plus the fact I still never received the information package they promised was mailed out. Enough I said, and immeidately wrote them back to cancel my interest and NOT to debit my account in any way as I declined any interest in belonging to their agency nor wnated to stay the full 30 day trial period either.

Then, when I noticed a debit from my checking account a few weeks later from Searchfor Talent.com. I immediately called my bank and told them the situation and had to file an unauthorized ACH debit with them to investigate and credit that back to my account.

Then, about a week or so after that time, I saw another unauthorized ACH debit on my bank statement but this time from a TrueTravelRewards.com (1-800-613-0322)placed out of San Francisco. I don't know who these peopel are. So I called my bank and placed another costly unauthorized ACH debit complaint against this and then tried to find this address on the internet. When I called the number, all of a sudden, I was sent to a voice mail messaging service for Search for Talent.com, same music, same voice, same everything of my initial complaint! Eventually I was answered and I complained about the debit and didn't want anyone to do this and stop this on our account. So that person gave me another number (1-800-710-4210) and told me I had to call them to credit this charge back. When this man answered I asked him why was this compnay's name and number tied back Search for Talent and why did they take a unauthorized ACH debit from our bank acocunt? He said, "oh they get busy at times so we help them with volumes of their calls and answer for them". Now, is this a scam or what? I demanded why did his organization take this debit and he never really answered, but told me to stop this from continuing I had to either access their website or he could fax me a document I had to fill and sign and fax back. Well, first there is nowhere on his site to conatct them as he told me (I have no access pin or ID), and when I told him to fax me the form diectly, it never arrived either as he promised it would be sent right out. So something very fishy with these people.

I demanded that man to STOP accessing our account as we had no idea who TrueTravelRewards.com was and wanted nothing to do with SearchforTalent.com either, and it made me mad that here, if I had not seen this on my statement, I believe they are one in the same company and trying to act like they are professional just to access your private banking and debit amounts under aliases or false names. We had to close out ATM/Debit card and numbers out and close our account as well, and now have to go through hassle of opening another account and fixing things with the valid few debtors who we allow to access that for payment purposes (AOL, credit companies)and change all our billing information for them.

I think others out there ought to be wary of the above names as I think they are one in the same trying to pull a fast one to access your account under different anonymous names.

I actually went through this as well. I am not going to fill out a report because my bank took care of it. I know what you mean by hard to get ahold of and same voice and all that. Everytime I called, I got the same gentlemen. I tried to cancel one time, I was given three months free. They charged me on the second month, when I told the person I wanted to cancel, I was put on hold literally for 45 minutes+ I had to hang up and called my bank. I do not think this is a scam at all, but was just the person I got on the other end. It seemed to be legit, I wasn't charged anything other than the searchfortalent.com---no other wierd companies and after I got it cancelled, I got no more charges. It wasn't a good experience but they didn't continue to do it.

POSTED: Thursday, December 28, 2006

My name is Igor Reiant and I am the CEO of Search for Talent. I'd like to personally apologize for any problems you may have encountered with our service. We've worked with over a million clients in the last two years and have designed our sales and customer support procedures to accommodate every one of them. However, as with any company, problems and mix-ups do occur, and we do our utmost to solve them and prevent similar issues from happening in the future. Since your complaint, we have completely redesigned our services.

We are not hiding anything. When new clients sign up with Search for Talent, they pay a small fee for shipping and handling of their welcome package, then have a period of time to test out the site to see if they wish to continue with us. If the member does not want to be a part of the service and pay the monthly fee, then they must cancel during this trial period. Members of Search for Talent have the ability to cancel online at any time and send questions through the site directly to Customer Support. If a client prefers to speak to the Customer Support Department by phone, our toll free phone number is provided during the initial sale and on the website. By calling 1-800-710-4210, you will be directly routed through to a real person who can answer questions, provide refunds and help you with any problems you may have. There are no phone prompts or mazes to go through, and wait time typically does not exceed three to five minutes. I apologize if you had an unpleasant experience with Customer Support, but know that such behavior is against company policy and we do correct it whenever it occurs.

Search for Talent is constantly working to improve our Customer Support Department, Sales Department and our website as a whole. We post thousands of new casting calls every week for people working to break into the entertainment industry. Search for Talent has also signed up hundreds of Casting Directors and Photographers who contact our members every day with upcoming opportunities. We are consistently growing and expanding, but it's not because we're a scam ? it's because Search for Talent works.

Thank you

Sincerely,
Igor Reiant
CEO Search for Talent

I just called them. I was fired recently and was looking through the classifieds and then I saw the add. I responded to an add in the New Haven, CT area. Everything sounded good until he got around to asking for my credit card number. I've been scammed too much to not look first before I leap.

I was given a sweet little line about not being charged for two weeks. All the postings on this site sure refute that claim!

The guy was saying how I could earn 100 to 300 dollars a day. But still, one should never pay out for employment - that is a cardinal rule. I decided to check the ripoffreport to see if there were any past complaints.

Suspicions confirmed.
