I signed up with Search For Talent, a talent agency, four months ago. I was told there was a one time fee of $44.95 and there would be a multitude of jobs in my area. I was very suspicious of giving my credit info and of such a high fee, but against my better judgment I signed up with the agency. I went online to look for jobs but there were no jobs available where I lived.

Then I noticed I was being charged a monthly fee of $9.95. I was never told of this recuring fee. I was told only of the one time starting fee. The only way to contact the company was through a 800 number that put me on hold for an hour.

The man said that I was told about the $9.95 fee when I signed up and that they could review the tapes if I waited longer on hold. The man also insisted that I hadn't used the service correctly and that there were many jobs. So I agreed to look for jobs online. When I went online I found 2 modeling jobs in my area, none of which I qualified for.

So I called back again. And asked to cancel the account and be refunded the fees I wasn't told about. I told him to review the tape of my first conversation with the agency. The man came back on the line saying he reviewed the tapes and that I was told about the fee. I asked him to play me the tape but he refused and said I had to speak to the general manager about that, who would conveniently not be available for 3 more days.

He also said that I was sent an email about the fees. I never recieved any emails from them. There is no way to contact the company online. Nor is there a way to cancel your account with them. They make you call the number and wait for hours.

I have been charged $79 with this company for nothing. What a rip-off!

We are not hiding anything. Members of Search for Talent have the ability to cancel online and send questions through the site directly to Customer Support. If a client prefers to speak to the Customer Support Department by phone, our toll free phone number is provided during the initial sale and on the website. By calling 1-800-710-4210, you will be directly routed through to a real person who can answer questions, provide refunds and help you with any problems you may have. There are no phone prompts or mazes to go through and wait time typically does not exceed three to five minutes.

Search for Talent is constantly working to improve our Customer Support Department, Sales Department and our website as a whole. We post thousands of new casting calls every week for people working to break into the entertainment industry. Search for Talent has also signed up hundreds of Casting Directors and Photographers who contact our members every day with upcoming opportunities. We are consistently growing and expanding, but it's not because we're a scam it's because Search for Talent works.

Hey u better make sure the check that they sent to you it has funds .......cuase I recieve a check from them too, but it didn't have funds.

This company finaly did give me a complete refund. However, I had to make several fraud claims and cancel my credit card to get their attention. This company was also making monthly charges of $9.98 under another company which I never signed up for called True Travel Rewards. I still think this company's ethics are very bad. They did not provide the services they claimed, and charged me fees I was never notified about. They are also very hard to get a hold of. I received no letter or any kind of statement from them, they just sent a check for my refund.

yes I applied for their sales dept. and he gave his cell# on the add,but when I want it o chek out their website I was send to this site and I found out about their scam , sales manager,owner,and costumer rep., and who authorize the charges of your credit cards his name is Igor Reiant and his cell# is 650-267-7214, give him a call, I can't stand people like this who give bad reputation to sales persons who try to get a honest income to home just like anyone else, by the way he have no skills on sales to be the manager I could it tell...but he seems like a computer geek, now every piece come together if you think their procedures. Good luck and make him suffer.
