My husband and I had our loan taken over by Fairbanks Capital, now Select Portfolio Servicing in 1999.
We have had problems like many others with these people. We would like to see something done about it too.
We would love to get our loan away from Select Portfolio Servicing. It's been very difficult.
We are being charged for taxes and homeowner's insurance when we pay it separate. Our insurance company has sent in and faxed the proof of insurance. We are still being charged, an escrow account.
We finally had to file Chapter 13 in 2004 so we wouldn't lose our home of 18 years ! There was no way we could pay what they said we owed. They would NOT work with us like we hoped they would. It wasn't a choice with bankruptcy, it was our only way to keep our home.
